«Turrets and Spires» is one of the most personal offerings off our upcoming album, «The Night Depository».
You're seventeen, nineteen, maybe much older, maybe younger, and off you go to a great, vast city – a city so big that it can hold and manifest the wishes and reveries of hundreds, thousands, millions. And there, perhaps, the niche of your desire that you tended and nurtured so carefully has found the right soil and breeze to live out in the open.
It's not easy, you slip, and you give way, get beaten and drowned out in a bigger noise than yours. With the faith in your own hide, however, you get back up, and you join those whose skin, fur, scales or feathers have the same sparkle as yours.
Wrapped in a minimalist musical corset of a simple guitar sound and vocals, rolling and turning like an automaton, the band frèrelumière formed an intimate journey, a path to walk up and down over and over again. They invite you to join their little band of thieves in the glowing night and steal some time for yourself.
