Tiziano Stroppini, known as Viz was born in Ticino where he formed his first grunge band in high school in Bellinzona. Passionate and curious about human nature, he moved to Geneva where he graduated in Psychology. Tiziano Stroppini, known as Viz was born in Ticino where he formed his first grunge band in high school in Bellinzona. Passionate and curious about human nature, he moved to Geneva where he graduated in Psychology. Working with brain-damaged patients in the neurology department at Lausanne’s university hospital, dealing with different cultures and languages,he developed a strong and unique approach to his music.
Viz is indeed an indie/stoner/songwriting solo artist that can be described as alpine folk meets desert rock.
Viz is also the founding member of grunge-pop band Noen. The band has been performing around Switzerland since 2001. Noen released the EP Swiss Quality People in 2004 and April 5 LP in 2010. Behind his day job at the hospital, Viz is also a founding member of underground stoner rock band Nail Eaters. The band released the EP Korsakov in 2008 and and the eponym full length Album in 2009.
After years of songwriting, recording, producing and playing with his bands, Viz recently started his solo project and his new album “Everything is brain” has been released on April 1st.
