Who is „AmaDea“?
Sabrina Amadea Thoma was born on 20th September 1986 in St. Gallen as a daughter of a Serbian Mum and a Swiss Dad. After graduating the obligatory school, she passed the commercial education. Today, she works as a commercial employee in an import/export company.
Musical training
At the age of ten, Ama Dea took piano lessons and learned to play the trombone, too. Due to a triennial vocal training, she took part in several musical- and band-projects. Today, she found her strength in writing lyrics, too.
Musical development
Ama Dea had her first ‘big’ solo performance as she was eleven years old. Further musical-productions succeeded; among others the big school project “Tom’s Musicaldream” under the direction of the musical director and choreographer Reda Roshdy, as well as several sing contests and performances.
Musical goals
Ama Dea wants to accompany the lives of other people. In the same way as a lot of songs boost her feelings, she wants that the people recognize themselves in her lyrics.
Music productions
Among several musicals in her younger years, Ama Dea performed at some public events and sang in a band. Current, she works on her third song but loves to borrow her voice to other artists, too.
What means music to „AmaDea“?
Music is life. There are songs and lyrics in every music genre which can dispose people to change their way of thinking and living. It doesn’t matter in which mood a man is, there is always a song that fits in his phase of life and reassures that one. If a song coins a phase of life, they will always remember their experience in this age as soon as they listen to this music. Music is not only in the ears – Music is in every fibre of your being!
Ama Dea’s wish is to stay once on the stage and see, that the audience is singing her songs. It don’t have to be a hundred of people, it suffices if her songs reach one person.
Which music style inspired „AmaDea“?
As a child, Ama Dea was fascinated by great singers like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion etc. but she never had an idol.
Current, she sees Lady Gaga as the realisation of her own vision of a real artist. The fact that Lady Gaga created an artificial character that really can sing as well as write lyrics and creating costumes without showing too much of her private life attests such a great talent which it’s hard to find in the modern music business. Songs like “Bad Romance” are great structured – Ama Dea hasn’t an idol indeed, but in Lady Gaga she found an example to be geared at.
