Biography
The swiss-american electronic formation ARPODYX started in late 1996 by the members Johnny Blu and Marc Altair. Very soon and after some nightlong insomnia-sessions on their analogue equipment, they went on stage! So, the adventure of deep ambient triphop arpodyx music could begin.
And it did!
After the following club tour in switzerland, it was time to produce a first record, called "ARPODYX" (surprised?) and soon, they found a distribution partner in vsm (switzerland). With that record in their pocket, ARPODYX went on tour and rocked the stages with a hard funky bigbeat live-set, combined with some nice psychedelic art visions.
In 1999, and after a short break, arpodyx started to work with Denise (vocals) and Mike Zack (bass guitar). Fermale vocals and live played Less electronical experiments, more melodics and soundscapes based on Denise's vocals. The wide and clear range of Denise’s voice, combined with a dark bass and spheric electrosounds, formed a new concept and some new entertainment on stage. Now, call it some kind of Electro-Rock...
