AZAZELBLUE'S EARTHWORMS
music is influenced by the Blues, Indie Rock, Punk, and it brings
you all around the underground Rock scene with their radical sound, mixing
heavy riffs, slide guitar and inspired haunted vocals
The Band started out in Lausanne Switzerland at the end of 2007.
Since then, the've been playing a lot of live gigs, getting a real good
experience on the road.
They also played on the Soundtrack of the film "Moto Vintage" by Sébastien
Riond (2009).
They are also on an official Montreux Jazz Festival live CD. (2009).
They have also recorded their first official record in May - June 2010 with
Raphael Bovey.
The four boys (although not that young, which is a plus for their music)
produce a sort of Indie Rock crossed with Blues oozing death.
They succeed completely in forming a really harmonious and compact
ensemble,
distilling some powerful, warm, but particularly sombre music.
This can be seen from the start with titles like “Losing my connections” or
the implacable “Keep the pressure”.
The rest is just as striking, like the venomous “Last deep breath”, with its
slide guitar recalling
the darkest moments of the first period of Alice in Chains.
Stephen Garey’s voice fits perfectly somewhere between Tom Waits and
Peter Murphy.
The icing on the cake is a very impressive reprise of the Bauhaus classic
“Bela Lugosi’s dead”,
very ponderous but with no sign of awkwardness,
that you will listen to over and over again once you discover it.
The first album of the quartet is indispensable, for this magnificent title
alone. A must.
The record "Not Bad Enough for Hell" is released on the 14th January
2011 on Urgence Disk Records (distribution by Irascible).

Stoned Ryders Session",

Amicalement,
Loominarypop
This band ROCKS
