In spring 2002 Mr.G, Martin (vocals/guitar), Baptiste (bass) and Brian (drums) started jamming together under the name of "Mecurachrome". Shortly after their founding "Mecurachrome" played two gigs at the "Gaskessel" club in Berne and one concert on campus of the Koeniz highschool. Shortly after their founding "Mecurachrome" played two gigs at the "Gaskessel" club in Berne and one concert on campus of the Koeniz highschool. Coincidentally the remaining musicians met a young guitar hero in the bandroom of "Brachland" and after a few jam sessions and swapping guitar for bass, all were sure that they found Mr.Right! Thus "bump Liz" was born! After a hard time of composing and practising everybody felt ready to unleash the beast! One of the first major gigs was at Berne's famous venue, the "Wasserwerk". Till today "bump Liz" has played clubs of all sizes like the "Alte Taverne" in Adelboden, the "Dead End", "Gaskessel" and "ONO" in Bern or "The Rock" in Thun. Throughout the "Real Live Music Festival" in Zürich "bump Liz" performed in some of Zurichs most renowned clubs and venues like the "Dynamo", "Abart" and even at the the famous "Volkshaus" concert hall and at numerous other gigs! "bump Liz" is american-european inspired Modern Rock led by Martins powerful-gutsy but melodic Voice, backed up by a surging powerful and rhytmic wall of finest Rock music!
