The project
At the beginning… a meeting, a friendship, then a conjugation of talents and working affinities. Dog Almond is the result of a trust and mutual listening. Franco Casagrande, guitarist with his irresistible crooner voice, brings words and melodies, while Christophe Calpini plays drums, electronic arranges and produces (Christophe Calpini who’s been seen with Eric Truffaz, Silent Majority, founder of Mobile in Motion, composer of ‘L’imprudence’ of Alain Bashung and co-founder of Stade with Pierre Audétat working with rapper Infinite Livez, Nya, Nils Peter Molvär…). The whole operation is a trip divided between roon and dreams in an electro-pop world. Originality, simplicity and sensitivity are the main ingredients of this unique project.
The Band
On stage, the intensity builds: Christophe Calpini gives life to the samples while Franco Casagrande mixes the fragility of his voice with a grinding guitar. Modern configuration, the duet exudes great energy and a personal sound, generating a very special emotion which transports us into their magical world.
