It is at age 19 that this young Swiss woman learned her first guitar chords. Equally inspired by Sheryl Crow and Tracy Chapman, Chris White found her path in the steps of female artists made is USA. She possesses multiple influences: country, folk, and blues were played back and forth on her stereo and English naturally imposes itself as the language for her songs.
After experimenting with several bands, Chris decided to fly on her own in 2003
In 2004, her lucky star is still following her when she reached the 2nd place of an international songwriting competition with Little Girl and an honorary diploma from the Billboard contest with Blank Page.
The same year, Chris moved to France to entirely invest her time in music. She starts everything back from scratch.
In 2005, she takes part in the compilation album Best unsigned album ever... 2! under the British label Chromium Records. She goes back on tour with new musicians and takes part at the final of the regional championship of Pop Rock tour sponsored by RTL2. She finally realizes her dream when she releases her first self-produced album in December 2005. On this album, songs are of great quality, they possess a lot of rhythm, variety, they are sometimes funky, with excellent musicians, and clean lyrics which are sometimes taking a stance so as to stay firmly fixed to current events.
In 2006, Chris White appears on the first volume of LEZARDER and signs a digital distribution contract with DBC Records in Switzerland. Her album has been made available through the major MP3 providers: iTunes, Fnacmusic,fr, Virginmega.fr, Napster, and MSN Music amongst others.
2007 is a transition year with the return of Chris in Switzerland. I little bit of time to find new musicians again and find concerts what she will do across Switzerland and France in 2008.
2009 marks another bend with a new band and the recording of new songs and hopefully plenty of gigs in 2010!
