Biography
Beneath earth has all begun, away from daylight DIVINE was founded in summer of 2002. The founding members were Stefan Rey, Pirmin Gabriel, Aline Buehler and Marek Dybka. During the following months grew a symbiosis from the different influences of the members between Rock, Metal and Gothic. This was the time when the first songs, born in the darkness, told about the dark side of life. In May 2003 DIVINE played the first gig where many live concerts followed. The band casually enchanted with various unplugged shows. Beyond the cold darkness of many clubs and bars some of these shows were played in churches, where DIVINE found space to unfold their white wings. December 2004 brought a special kind of event where the band spread its dark wings. They organized a private viewing called “rocking pessimism” along with the painter Rolf Fritschi in the club “Das scharze Schaf” in Lucerne. In February 2005 Aline Buehler left the band, she was replaced by Monika Solymon at the microphone. With Jerome Varga, an experienced sound technician could be hired, but that’s not enough, he also took over the bass as a replacement for Marek Dykba who left the band in the year 2008. End of 2009 the band played a series of concerts in this lineup. After „Monique“ and the band went their separate ways. In the cold winter of 2010 the lineup was complete again. With Nikki Rocks at the microphone the band spreads it’s wings. The sweet melancholy goes on. Whether white or dark wings, evil or DIVINE- now is the time.
