Biography
Countless concerts throughout Switzerland, three studio albums, airplay in America, Spain, Germany and Switzerland and a steadily growing fan base: Dreadful from Muotathal hit a nerve with their no-frills rock'n'roll. Their fourth album "Soulmates" will be released on 24.03.2024 to mark the band's fifteenth anniversary. In advance, the band is releasing the two singles "One Hell of a Ride", a first-class hard rock steamroller, and "Home Sweet Home", a tribute to their home in Muotathal carried by acoustic guitars and banjo.
Dreadful was founded in 2009 in Muotathal SZ and consists of Andy Schelbert (lead vocals), Dario Gwerder (guitar), Jonas Marty (guitar, harp), Marcel Gwerder (drums) and Theo Schmidig. Their sound breathes the spirit of old rock'n'roll heroes and the songs are drenched in the sweat and soul of the American South. Dreadful's music is the pure opposite of the hypocritical online world and sticks to what the Stones preached 50 years ago: "What can a poor boy do except to sing for a rock'n'roll band". Raw, honest and always grooving hard.
