Eric Bakhch-Pour is a swiss composer / singer-songwriter who lives in Geneva.
Born in 1980, Eric studied classical music and piano at the Geneva Conservatory of Music with pianist Luis Ascot.
He started composing at the age of 13. His first works, "The Illusions Of Light" were written for the piano in 1993.

Film music being his passion, he started composing themes and scores for short and full length films («Arthur», «Nosferatu», «Au Large de Bad Ragaz», «Burning Filament», «Don’t Forget The Dog», «Le Duc Sans Cœur», «Les Filles du Calvaire» and many more).
After working as a songwriter or pianist with artists like Ulysse Larre, SimonGad, Onésia Rithner and Valérie Deniz, Eric started writing and performing his own songs. He regularly plays concerts of his pianistic works & songs, as well as his own arrangements of famous film music in Geneva.
In 2009, Eric wrote and performed a concert with his own pianistic arrangements of Danny Elfman's film music, with a special introduction by director Richard Elfman. He also played in Hollywood, at the Egyptian Theater, before a screening of the cult movie "The Forbidden Zone" in july 2009.
His film music influences are : Danny Elfman, Christopher Young, John Ottman, Bernard Herrmann, James Newton-Howard, James Horner and John Williams.
His songwriting influences are : Depeche Mode, A-Ha, Colplay, Keane, Oingo Boingo, Tori Amos, Tina Dico, and many others.
COMPETITIONS :
-1997 : Winner of a Special Price at the Geneva Piano Improvisation Contest.
