Imagine a groovy rock band that combines a pop singers voice with modern electronic sounds and low tuned, heavy guitars and you will exactly get what Etta Zero is all about: Pop Metal with catchy songs and a pack of power!
Etta Zero was founded from the ashes of a band called Downfall in 2010 in the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein. With its total population of around 30,000 and landlocked by Switzerland and Austria, the country does not only domicile various bank houses but also some fine rock bands. The four guys started as a cover band in 1999, mainly reinterpreting synth pop songs of acts such as Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears or A-Ha in a modern rock style. This first chapter was crowned in 2002 with an EP named Wonderful Life - A Tribute To Pop.
Since then, the band started writing original songs. In April 2007, Downfall released their new, selftitled EP. It was once again produced by ex-Coroner mainman and producer Tommy Vetterli in Zürich, Switzerland.
In August of the same year, the band won a band contest held by national radio station Radio Liechtenstein with the song Sorrow from their EP voted as Best Song International.
After some personal changes and 10 years of making rock music, the band changed their name to Etta Zero in October of 2010, starting to record their debut album in November of the same year. Watch us making our first album and be part of the process. Stay tuned for more details to follow soon...
