Biography
2000
Drago and Oli meet, Oli plays the guitar in Drago’s band Fireedge. Oli and Drago, who plays the bass, get along so well together that Drago starts first as a temporary bass player and then remains as a permanent member in Oli’s band Rock n’ Call Boys.
2001-2003
After several gigs Drago and Oli decide, together with their friend and producer Lj Sedlar, to start writing original songs. The result is the song Revolution written and composed with singer Marcel and drummer Mario. At the same time they change the band name to Revolution. They play together several gigs in Switzerland. The top performance takes place at the Montreux Jazz Festival in the summer of 2001. Revolution records eight original songs never published in the studio Lj Sedlar in Montreux with new singer Josephine. They appear regularly on TV programmes on M-Sat and are often interviewed by Radio Channel K. They also play several live concerts.
2003-2006
Tanja joins the band as singer. The band keeps playing many gigs and also pops up on satellite TV programmes. Oli has to leave the band for health reasons and Mario moves abroad. Boban and Sasa join as new guitarists. Milos joins on the drums.
2007-2008
Release of the CD Baklija Slobode (Torches of Freedom), an album written and recorded together with the famous guitarist Bane Jelic, who is composer and producer. The recording of the 8 songs of the CD takes place in the studio Chameleon in Belgrade, Serbia, with Marko Grujic as Sound Engineer. The band name changes to Evolucija. Drago signs a record deal with the Label Take It Or Leave It Records. A video clip is shot out of the track song Kralj (King) and released together with the CD. Evolucija has several interviews with Serbian Radio channels. All CD songs are once presented during an interview with Radio 202. Radio K channel in Switzerland also interviews the band and broadcast all songs from Baklija Slobode. Evolucija performs Baklija Slobode in the town hall of Dietikon, Switzerland. Paola comes onboard as keyboards player.
2009
Drago composes the official soundtrack Pale Rider for the German movie The Templars. Ilana joins as new singer and records Pale Rider in Lausanne with Sedlar acting as producer. The film producer and director, Andreas Leffler and his team, shoots the video clip of Pale Rider in a ruined castle in Zell (Germany). Evolucija are invited as guests of honour at the Film Premiere in Munich. They are presented and awarded in front of a large audience. Pale rider video clip runs over the big screen of the cinema in Munich. Sara Kay joins on the drums and Srdan on keyboards.
2010
Evolucija make the debut with the new line-up in Schlieren.
The band is currently recording its second CD.
