Far From The Madding Crowd was a quintet based in Lugano, Switzerland, in late 2005. The band was specialized in indie musictheir sound varies from psychedelia to post-rock and electronica. The predominant aspect of their music was improvisation.

In november 2006 Far From The Madding Crowd published his first and only record (under On The Camper Records).

They disbanded in 2008. Rest in peace.
