Born in Switzerland to "SwEnglish" parents, and currently living in New York City, Jen Dale is a singer-songwriter with a penchant for Soul. Influenced by Al Green, Jill Scott and Ella Fitzgerald, Jen has performed since childhood; singing along to Whitney Houston tracks on her karaoke machine. Since then, Jen has traded the fisher price karaoke journeys for the real thing; writing and performing her own music and hasn’t stopped since. In 2008 Jen took part in the Red Bull Music Academy where she had the chance of learning from people such as Waajeed (PPP, Bling 47), Theo Parrish (Sound Signature) and Ben Lamar (Juba Dance), which only confirmed her passion of living life in music. Described as “Soulful; emotional; a cross between Laura Izibor, Mary J, Joss Stone, and Erykah Badu”, by a New York music critic, Jen is gearing up for her American debut with performances lined up for next month with her EP that came out last January.
