Kapnorth went hunting in 2008. While stalking for deer the four-piece stepped in the trails of respectable huntsmen. They kept following these tracks. Their mission was as clear as gelid water. The proudest animal, the most dangerous character and the most beautiful antlers served as targets. After long years of studies and the experience they won out of it, Kapnorth adjusted their notch and bead sighter. Aimed on the complete and mystic creature of their own perception.
Located and with pride hunted down in the endless range of Iceland. Refined with a fresh marine breeze from Reykjavik. Arranged with laments of trolls and elfins and swallowed up on the rise of a growling volcano. This dish is a luscious feast. Delicate thundering, piquant lightning and selected stormy.
Kapnorth play hypnotic, frank, yes sometimes odd music. The band recorded their debut album ‘Thunder Lightning Storm’ in the famed Sundlaugin-studios of Sigur Ros in Iceland in the summer of 2012. Engineer Birgir Jon Birgisson, with his miraculous forces, his fund of instruments and his sheer boundless experience, helped to wreak a sensual venison dish out of the ingredients Kapnorth brought along.
Kapnorth are Elia (voice, keys), Dave (guitar, keys, voice), Marius (guitar, synths, voice) und Jonas (drums).
