Some words on the latest release «Harvest»:

«Harvest» in its original form had existed for several years. Five actually. I’ve written it in a wonderful lake house near Morat where I’d spent my summer. I felt exuberant, almost euphoric. Yet at the same time gloomy and uneasy. I felt this dark spot in my mind that reminded me of phases in my life when I drowned in melancholy. One hot summer night this emotion that made me happy, sad and then happy again, bundled up. That’s how «Harvest» came about. Now, five years later, the right time was here for me to record this piece of music. «Harvest» is a spring song that relates to autumn. «Harvest» is rapture made of ruptures. You may clap along. You may jump and dance. Harvest celebrates life.

I’ll release my second album in spring 2014. So «Harvest» is a snack for all those who liked and like my album «Nauticus». And an appetiser for all those who’d like to get to know Lena. The single is out now. You can get it on iTunes (1.60) and Bandcamp (you name the price).

«Harvest» hat in seiner Urform schon einige Jährchen auf dem Buckel. Genau genommen fünf. Ich habe ihn damals an einem wundervollen Plätzchen am Murtensee geschrieben, wo ich den Sommer verbrachte. Ich fühlte mich ausgelassen, fast schon euphorisch. Und dennoch trug ich etwas Dumpfes in mir, ein dunkles Etwas, das auf Phasen in meinem Leben verwies, in denen ich lange Zeit in Melancholie versank. An einem heissen Sommerabend bündelte sich diese Emotion, die mich glücklich, schwermütig und wieder glücklich machte. Daraus entstand «Harvest». Nun, fünf Jahre später, war für mich der richtige Zeipunkt, diesen Song mit einer Aufnahme festzuhalten. «Harvest» ist ein Frühligslied das vom Herbst handelt. «Harvest» ist Übermut gemacht aus Melancholie. Bei «Harvest» darf man mitklatschen. Man darf hüpfen und tanzen. «Harvest» feiert das Leben.
Ich werde im Frühling 2014 mein zweites Album veröffentlichen. «Harvest» ist so eine Zwischenverpflegung für alle die «Nauticus» mochten und mögen. Und ein Häppchen für all die, die Lena neu kennenlernen möchten. «Harvest» erscheint ausschliesslich digital. Die Single ist ab dem 11. Mai 2012 bei iTunes (CHF 1.60) und Bandcamp (frei wählbarer Preis) erhältlich.
