The Roots: Vinyl & Groove
Sacha Friederich’s musical journey didn’t start in a high-end
studio, but on the train to Aarau. By the age of ten, he was already
investing his pocket money in vinyl, spending entire Wednesday
afternoons in record shops, soaking up every sound he could find.
His collection today is a mirror of that early curiosity: it ranges from
the raw energy of Nazareth and Dire Straits, to the soul of
Fleetwood Mac and Edith Piaf, the precision of Lee Ritenour –
Fourplay, and the timeless classical works of Tchaikovsky,
Grieg, and Handel.
A defining spark was the legendary, high-voltage funk of Mother’s
Finestlive in Switzerland—a performance that burned itself into his
memory and became the fuel for his deep rhythmic intuition.
The Experience: From Halle 36 to the Seetal
For over a decade, Sacha stood in the spotlight as the lead singer
of various bands. He has performed on some of Switzerland’s
most iconic stages—with career highlights including a show for
700 people at Halle 36 in Baden and opening for global stars like
Asia. With his guitar and electric piano in tow, he has lived through
every genre from Rock to Jazz. Yet, the search for his own
signature sound eventually led him back to where it all began.
The Vision: Melodic Pop-Rap “Made in Seetal”
Today, Sacha has traded band dynamics for the creative freedom
of his own studio in the Seetal region of Aargau. This is where he
produces his solo work—a sound he defines as “Urban-Pop”:
groovy, punchy, and with that certain "something." His primary
focus is now on his latest project: “PLAY.”
The Goal: Sacha is here to stay
Sacha Friederich is a musician who carries the history of music on
his shelves and the craft in his blood. His vision is taking a
definitive shape: he is pushing his solo projects forward, bringing
fresh urban sounds back to the places where he feels most at
home.
He is bringing the groove back—with passion on the stage and
substance on the airwaves. Sacha makes music that is fun—for
himself, and for everyone who hits the Play button.
