Their music has downtempo, trip-hop and soul overtones, but also draws from electro or new wave sounds. Collaboration with other artists has always been at the heart of their productions.

In their latest EP 'Nighttime Birds' Soulfight delivers a wintertime collection of subtly colorized nighttime trip-hop covers sung by Colette ( See You Colette ), Eva ( Les Caprices d’Eve ) and Jasmin.

These three nighttime birds gathered by Aalik and View delight us with new versions of the jazz classic “My Favorite T hings”, of the The Cure’s “Lullaby” as well as Feist’s “My Moon My Man”. The EP ends with a cover of Kubrick’s “T he S hining” end credits: “M idnight And T he S tars And You”.

These songs tinted with minimalist electro beats meet with the conceptual universe of the band. The musical aesthetics of the EP echoes in its dreamlike artwork in which the origami crane convinces us of the intimate strength and depth of a straight sound mingled with the complexity of an angular geometrical world.
