Every spare minute was allotted to their common passion: New Metal music. In June 2003 guitarist Daniel Neuhaus joined the band. Every spare minute was allotted to their common passion: New Metal music. In June 2003 guitarist Daniel Neuhaus joined the band. At the same time, as the result of a new found passion, Ugo changed from keyboards to the bass guitar.

August 1, 2003 the Steeld was born. Steeld started out small by giving concerts locally and singing New Metal cover songs. Soon they were asked to be the supporting act for the Lovebugs (CH) in Pontresina and Zoo Army (D) in Uster.

In September 2005, DJ Mathias Widmer joined the band. Steeld began concentrating on composing their own music instead of covering other Bands songs. They set out to create a unique sound by combining metal-riffs with rap lyrics as well as using seven string, respectively five string instruments to produce a threatening atmosphere and an aggressive sound. Steeld bring their Music to a new level by adding clean passages and melodic Hook lines to energy driven, raw sounds. Someone must listen to it to understand this unique twist in their music.

In the meantime, Steeld, with a unique and grown up sound, tours the nation on a regular basis. A growing fanbase has become evident. For example: In Zürich, Steeld was voted into the finals of the contest "Rock Highway 08" by popular demand. With the release of their first EP (Extended Play) in Febuary 2009 Steeld achieved another goal in the band’s history.

Spring 2010: The Band decides to record a Studio Album. Due to geographical reasons the five guys work in their homestudios in different locations all over Switzerland (Zurich, St. Gallen, Lugano, Chur and St. Moritz). Thanks to this system they are able to write and produce songs over a big distance.

After a long search on 25. September 2011 they finally find a great partner to work with. A contract with Sourmash Studios and its producer Dave Snow is signed. The official Album release is planned to be on the 3rd of August 2012.
