The name "The Alchemist" was first used by our reggae sound system who plaid in various club around Lausanne for several years. Thereafter, the two founding musicians got the idea to start a band with their friends. At first, the project was more a reason for getting together. Time after time, change after change, our common love for roots music made us as united and solid as a rock. That feeling made us more and more selfconfident and encouraged us to play a few concerts in parties.
