The Formers was founded in 2008 in Zurich, Switzerland, by Matthias and Lukas to create sounds and songs in the tradition of their musical favorites (as there are: Interpol, Radiohead, Coldplay, Cinematics… well, too many to mention). The final formation was accomplished a year later with drummer Ueli and bass player Andreas.
The songs created in an intensive atmosphere of creativity are carried by a close meshed wall of guitar sounds with steady grooves, dry, but danceable, all dominated by the charismatic voice of Matthias, whose former (....and there we are!!) band 'Selfish' gained national résumée. A four track demo was recorded in Spring 2010 and received immediate positive reactions. A long list of former bands paves the way of its members anyway ( to mention: Kati Winter Bank, Hank Shizzoe, Russo...) but let's keep eyes straight to the future:
Here they are, The Formers, a melting pot of some fine ingredients, there to sooth your ear… and to move you, baby!

Hey-Great songs! Hope to hear you on the radio SOON. Love Girl
Brilliant, catchy, groovy + excellent melodies and cool voice
Super !
