The Sun Skippers aus Hauptwil formierten sich im Februar 1993 als klassisches Sun Rockabilly-Trio mit Gesang, Rhythmus-/Leadgitarre und Kontrabass. Als Einflüsse für diesen Musikstil, welcher Mitte 50er Jahre als Vorläufer des Rock’n’Roll im legendären Sun Records Studio in Memphis Tennessee entstand, waren namentlich Künstler wie Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins und Roy Orbison verantwortlich.
