Oisín is a singer / songwriter whose style can be described asbeen in the Acoustic / Pop genre.
From a very young age Oisín knew exactly what he wanted toachieve in life. Music is that life, and over the last three / four years he has worked relentlessly on his material and performance, which have gained him a fast growing reputationin the music industry both in Ireland and Switzerland where he has been living since 2007.
Originally from Clogh Co Kilkenny, Oisin has been described as having one of the freshest singing voices to emerge out of Ireland in recent years. His extraordinary and unique voice is not easily compared, but it would be fair to say the closest comparison would be to James Morrison, Paolo Nutini or Josh Groben. Oisin is the singer’s singer in fact, the Kilkenny lad was born into a family with singing on both sides in particular with his father and grandfather being noted singers in their own genre, no surprise then that singing is something that comes natural to Oisín.
As a teenager Oisín preformed with the well known Irish Youth Choir “Aspiro” from Carlow, he won lead in the hit musical Grease and sung in the RTE radio production of Roger Hammerstein’s musical Carrousel, which featured on Ireland’s top rated entertainment show The Late Late Show.
Oisin has written material for a forthcoming album which has been described within the industry as some of the best material heard from an unsigned artist in recent years. He plans to release the album later this year and a number of Irish dates are to be announced for late October which include an appearance at Sligo Live alongside Martha Wainwright, Imelda May, Wallis Bird and others.
It is by choice that Oisín is an unsigned artist at this stage of his career, and he stands by the principle, that when his time comes, he will not only sign with the best in the business, but will be the best in the business for those who sign him and to all those who put their faith in him will receive a genuine gratitude, loyalty and the commitment of a true professional throughout his career.
In 2008 Oisín played The Stimmen Festival in Lorrach, Germany, where he was described as the find of the Festival. The Stimmen lineout was impressive and included some of the greatest artists in the world like Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, The Everly Brothers and many more.
This year Oisín was selected from approximately 2,000 artists to perform with Ten-Time Grammy Award Winner, Bobby McFerrin as part of his world tour of a project called Bobble a musical interpretation of the biblical story of the tower of Babel. McFerrin’s project kicked off in Carnegie Hall in New York to rave reviews which saw its European debut in Germany on July 3rd where it was performed as part of two concerts on the 3rd & 4th July in the outdoor Roman Theatre at Augusta Raurica as part of the Stimmen Festival in Lorrach.

JUST SAW YOUR WEB EXCELLENT. I LOOK TO HEAR YOU IN GERMANY
GREAT GIG WITH MCFERRIN YOU WERE INCREDIBLE
Hi Paul
Thanks for the comment. Look, I enjoyed the experience and I wished them well, but it seems they want to keep up the appearance that they still play with me. I think they would like to produce more material, but what there do will fast earn them a bad reputation. It is not a nice feeling when someone comes up to you with a CD in their hand that has your picture, name and songs you wrote on it and have to tell them what happened and refuse to autograph it. What is most disturbing is the persistence to promote it on my Name, when they know I wont be touring it.........Anyway I am in the middle of recording material for my new album, which will be released later in the year. I will put some music up over the next two weeks and I will be touring Switzerland soon, which I cant wait for as I love it here. Keep in touch Paul and I will be posting on Twitter with little bits. Ps I remember you from Paddy's call again or if your going to the Bobby McFerrin gig give me a shout. Gretts
Looking forward to seeing you at Stimmen and good to know what to story is with Gisler & Van Stipriaan, saw the comment your manager put up on their site. That's one Studio I don't think will be getting much recommendation. Sounds like a couple of old bitter men, trying to live their dream through your success. They are nothing without you Oisín........When are you going to upload some music so we can hear what you are doing at the moment?
