Hello,
My name's Jean-Marc "Jimmy Tubb" Immelé. I'm from Geneva in Switzerland and play piano since me 7 years old. My grand mother was a classical musician (violin, organist in church & piano) but she sadly died just before me born.My mum got from her a "Steinway" piano, and so with this piano, the possiblity for me to play music was startin.
I begin study for 8 years classical music (between 7 and 15years pld), then I played my first band and live on stage @ 15 years old (name Sweet Juice xd)
In 2002, i loose my mother and one year after, in 2003, I got the chance to travel to Jamaica (Give thanx Eric, Prince Alla and Asher Selector & Feedback, will never forget), record and mix some wicked tunes at the mythic Bob Marley recordin studio "Tuff-Gong" in Kingston, Jamaica. it's really a gift to get the opportunity to play with legendary musician like Leroy Horsemouth Wallace,Earl Chinna Smith, Uzziah Sticky Thompson, Andrew Bassie Campbell and so many more. Learn a lot from that & now it's great honnor to give and receive with reggae music
So we seat down the studio and begin to record the riddim. One of the song "Miss u mama" is in memory of my mother who died too early in 2002. Check for my 7" version under my label Tubb sound & distribute by Tuff gong:).
I wanna personally give thanx to Andrew Bassie, and also wanna show maximum love & respect in Jamaica to Errol Organs, Jolly Stewart, Horsemouth, Cassey, Chinna, Sticky, Doniky, Prince Alla, Sonja, Princess S, Steeve Tulloch, Yamibolo, Al Pancho,Tuff-Gong & Anchor crew, Gaylard Bravo, Cedric MYton (Congo), Asher (original Black Uhuru keyboardist) & all the downtown Kingston bridgin near Charles street and Orange street.. In Geneva, I give thx and eternal Love to my mother Louise (miss u mama),my sister Christine and father Charles,my first reggae band Feedback, Eric Faessler & family,Asher Selector & Najawhite , Piment rouge crew ben, Abdu, herbalist band Joha & triginga, Jill & Stuff, Positiv band, Sola Kamba & all mi Wallis Family!! Dreadlocksless and swiss massive, also everyone mi forget an everyone me gonna meet soon and dont know yet :)...Maximum love love to my sista Christine, my father charles & my lovely & missing Mum Louise. 2012: Recording and arranging musically a whole album for a great band from Wallis name Sola Kamba (plz check http://www.mx3.ch/artist/solakamba)
Sola Kamba album "Wallissically" will be release in september 2012.
2012, june 30: at Montreux Jazz Festival with Alpheus and the liberty vendors.
