Biography
Karen was born in Sydney where she grew up listening to L.Ps of Elvis, Pink Floyd, Bee Gees, ABBA, Bob Dylan & many more.
At the age of 7, she moved to Switzerland, her parent's homeland. Her first instrument, the flute she practiced for 7 years, allowing her to compose her first melody. She quits music for 6 long years, having had to choose between sport and music.
At the age of 20, she decided to go back to Australia with a brand new guitar and a wish to return to music.
One of her firsts songs, « It’s just a big house » wins a « contest » in Redcliffe. It allows her to buy a Maton, a semi-accoustic guitar on which she composes a lot of news songs.
At 23 , she is the singer, songwritter, composer and lead-singer of the group « The Bedsitters ». She played with them for two years in Australia. When at 25, being pregnant,she once again stops her music.
In 2009; At a family reunion she met Fred, one of her many cousins. The desire to play again is stronger than ever and Fred manages to convince his mates to create a new band.
After a few sessions of compositions and arrangements, a demotape of a few titles pop/Folk is immediatly auto-produced with the complicity of Fred Comte (Bass), Alain Meystre (guitar), and Serge Comte (Drums), Nicolas Bonzon (keyboard).
The band is actually working on an « unplugged » version to be played in small venues and cosy places.
