Biography
In his latest album "Gutschi," songwriter Florian Trepp, also known as Tawara, translates his poetic imagery into melodious dialect songs for the first time. With playful wordplay, Tawara observes himself and the world from the depths of his soul – sometimes critical, sometimes innocent, sometimes in love, but always with sincere honesty.
Accompanied by his guitar and his band, Tawara transports listeners into a world of beautiful, melancholic melodies, infused with driving, laid-back yet always danceable beats. Tawara's music knows no boundaries or age; it builds bridges and creates a connection among the audience. Whether on record or live – Tawara's Backpacker-Soul moves hearts and leaves a lasting impression.
The native Churer, now residing in Zurich, has been exploring the world since his youth with his guitar and Cajon in tow. From adventurous tours in the USA, Costa Rica, and Europe to a six-month stint as a metro musician in Paris – Tawara's music has taken him far.
With albums like "Slip Back" (2015) and "Horizon" (2018), Tawara has expanded his artistic horizons. "Gutschi" surprises with new musical facets and linguistic finesse. Produced in collaboration with Manuel Egger and Valentin Liechti, it marks a surprising dialect debut that seeks its audience with freshness and lightheartedness.
"Gutschi" is not just an album; it's also the soundtrack to a dance through the soul of the songwriter, who has found his artistic home on the "Gutschi."
