Biography
Singer, songwriter and pianist Daniel Roos (1987) was born in the Netherlands. Inspired by artists like Billy Joel, Ray Charles, Elton John and Stevie Wonder, he makes a modern mix of soulful pop/rock, blues and ballads. Daniel grew up in a musical environment, getting his earliest inspiration from his dad's old mixtapes and from his uncles being professional musicians.
Over the last years Daniel performed with different music groups and produced music for various theater productions. He tours regularly with the popular Dutch comedian Sjaak Bral, accompanying him as a pianist and backing singer.
In 2014 Daniel’s first EP, 'Blues Child', came out. It received positive reviews in Holland. Quoting “excellent piano playing and a soulful voice timbre” and “five strong compositions, sung convincingly and with great feeling”.
In December 2015 a new EP is being released; 'Come Hell or High Water', including 5 new songs. A full length album is due for release in 2016.
