"Paradise For Free“ is his first single ever. After more than 15 years, making a living as a guitarist and singer, it needed not more than a month to write, record & produce his debut: "I had heaps of songs ready to record since a very long time, but I wanted to start off with two brand new tunes.This way you have to let things happen and you might even surprise yourself.“
In fact, he wrote the two songs on two afternoons within one week: "These were the sort of songs which seem to fly to you, where the inspiration just flows - a very lucky moment I usually crave for as a songwriter“. Above all, the songs reflect his point of view and are pretty authentic, Dom Hakios adds.
From Zurich to Sydney: Born from an Australian Mother and a Swiss Father, Dom was raised in a quaint little village named „Cottages“ (literally translated) near Zurich, Switzerland. After passing his teachers degree, he started to produce CD’s for numerous clients, played all around the world as a project musician and taught guitar and vocals in his private music school. As holder of an Australian passport, he then moved to Sydney, where his journey in life only just begun. Beginning to work as a man of all trades and travelling up the East Coast he arrived in Port Douglas. With twenty bucks left in his pocket and nowhere to go in a strange town he ended up doing housekeeping by day and nightvalet during the evening in a hotel.

Making up beds for the stars:
A casting for a film brought him a small role as a sailor in an American film production. It so turned out that he spent the day shooting a movie on secret location, along with several famous Hollywood actors, and later in the evening preparing their hotel beds for the night during their dinner.
No one ever found out.
After the movie an agent took Dom Hakios back down to Sydney, where he lived and worked as an allrounder again.
After a couple of years he returned back to Switzerland and now lives near Zurich.

Having experienced how it’s like to stand there with nothing in your pocket and nowhere to go, "Paradise For Free“ is an honest statement on how Dom Hakios perceives life. Dom says, "The only thing that really keeps us going and fuels our life is infinite, there for all and everyone, to give and take, at no expense – Love: "This is your paradise for free“."

In einer Zeit, in welcher die Blicke vermehrt auf die Missstände der Welt gerichtet sind, tut ein optimistischer Gedanke immer wieder wahre Wunder.
„Just a simple sign of love, to be what you can“
Die Liebe liegt allem zu Grunde. Sie treibt uns an, gibt uns Kraft und nährt uns. Ohne die Liebe gäbe es kein Leben. Die Liebe ist unendlich verfügbar und kann ohne Einschränkung verteilt werden: als Ressource ist sie unerschöpflich.
Die Liebe ist für alle frei:
„…this is your paradise for free!“.

Wer strebt schon nicht eifrig & hoffnungsvoll nach etwas Anerkennung? Wer hat noch nie für sich gedacht: „Wenn ihr doch nur etwas genauer hinsehen würdet!“ oder „Wenn ihr doch nur wüsstet!“?
