Biography
FredyFast is an alternative rock band from switzerland.
The Concept of FredyFast is predominated and influenced by the independent grunge scene of the early nineties and introduces new aspects of modern alternative rock music.
The band was formed in october 2007 by Philippe Pellet (bass),
Simon Maurer (guitar) and Philippe Bolliger (drums).
Due to a car accident, Philippe Bolliger heavy injured has been replaced by Alberto Rodriguez to maintain the band alive.
All members of the band are influenced by multiple styles of music during their career as musicians. They studied at conservatory and
Jazz Scool Bern and years of private studies.
They all played in different bands since youth, such as rock bands, later in african reggae and soul bands, and hiphop projects. In all this projects they where involved sort as studio musicians, sometimes they went different ways sometimes they joined together in these bands.
So they have a huge range of experience in music business.
The vocals are sung by both Philippe Pellet and Simon Maurer, leadvocals aswell as backingvocals. Also in the middle of the set they change roles and Phil plays guitar and Simon plays bass.
Most of their compositions emerged out of their regular jam sessions . The lyrics treat of subjects as human relationships, questions about today's society and also simply just fun. Now, the band has a set up to 16 tunes, which is about one good hour of good party music.
They played in several clubs in the region of Solothurn, Bern and on local events.
In march 2008 they recorded the first demo CD (Welcome) at the GrinderStudios in Villars-le-Grand,Fr. Now they just finished recording this second demo CD.
