Reeds Contest 2010
The contest aims to promote new Swiss bands and the top 3 among them will have the possibility to play at the largest Reggae festival of Switzerland. This way the winning bands will gain experience and increase their visibility through the Reed Festival and mx3.ch.
The participating bands will first go through a round of jury voting. On successful advancement into the second round, the fans will take over voting to decide whether or not their band will perform on Reeds 2010.

Reeds Contest 2010

Conditions:
Newcomer-Bands from Switzerland
-Musical style has to fit into the Reeds concept (reggae, ragga, dancehall, world music)
-The songs presented MUST be own compositions.
Procedure:
-Between March 1 and April 4 bands can sign up for the contest by creating a band page/profile on mx3.ch and click on the "book my band" section of the Reeds festival profile.
The newly registered bands are constantly reviewed and approved (or not) by the competent persons.
-Between April 15 and May 1 the bands will be judged by a jury.
-The bands that get into the second round (fan voting) will be notified by email and informed about the following steps.
Fan voting will take place from May 3 to May 21, on mx3. A system allowing to vote online for a song will be running.
-The 3 bands that will have collected the most votes are winners of the contest and will play the opening slots at the Reeds Festival 2010 (one day each).
-Winners will be communicated on June 7
