With the album “Time Stops Running", which was produced by LunikMastermind Luk Zimmermann and released by Leech Redda at the end of
2008, the Swiss rock trio Second Function played concerts to the end of the
world and back. With a two-week Japan tour (11 shows in 13 days) as well as
support shows for Biffy Clyro (UK), New Found Glory (USA), Carpark North (DK),
Twin Atlantic (UK), Ash (UK), Die Happy (DE), Jethro Tull (UK), Life Of Agony
(USA) and numerous club and festival performances...

2008, the Swiss rock trio Second Function played concerts to the end of the
world and back. With a two-week Japan tour (11 shows in 13 days) as well as
support shows for Biffy Clyro (UK), New Found Glory (USA), Carpark North (DK),
Twin Atlantic (UK), Ash (UK), Die Happy (DE), Jethro Tull (UK), Life Of Agony
(USA) and numerous club and festival performances in Switzerland, Austria
and Germany, the three guys already passed the milestone of 200 shows.
After a busy year, Flo Buhler (vocals and guitar), Lukas Jundt (drums) and
Sascha Wydler (bass) went back to their rehearsal place and started to
process the experiences and impressions with writing new songs.
After some, for Second Function rather unusual concert free months, they
decided in November 2010 to pack up the instruments and the new songs
and head over to England to record their new album with John Mitchell (You
Me At Six, Enter Shikari, The Blackout, Funeral For A Friend, Arena, Kino, Kids In
Glass Houses).
The result was the latest work of three friends who were successfully able to
put their love to music and the power on stage of Second Function on a CD.
Although three individual characters with various musical influences meet
together, Second Function created a compact and diverse rock album,
which represents the typical style of the band.
The album will be released in autumn 2011 and Second Function is ready to
implement the new songs with a powerful live show on stage.
