Biography
Natalia Wohler, hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, is creating her own unique music style, a fusion of pop/rock/r&b with Caribbean influences. Natalia’s distinctive vocals and impressive range lends real character and emotion to her powerful songs.
Dj Minus 8 and Natalia performed on the mainstage at the Motion Openair 2012 with main acts Snoop Dogg and David Guetta. Recently they electrified 15,000 fans at the dance festival ENERGY 12 with Ja-yson (NL), Tumen and 5 amazing dancers. The show included the main acts Avesta, Tiesto, Avicii and Afrojack. Previously they had performed at the ENERGY 11 which included top acts such as David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia and Armin Van Buuren. "Dance Into The Night", produced and written by DJ Minus 8 and Natalia, was the official anthem of the ENERGY 11, right after the world’s biggest Street Parade in Zürich, Switzerland. The song is available on iTunes and on the three ENERGY 11 compilation CDs: House, Trance and Dancefloor Hits. "Bump Into You" another track produced by Minus 8 ft. Natalia is featured on the Silvester Extravaganza 2011/12 CD. Natalia also sang at the Beauty Forum Swiss 2012 at the Messe Zürich. Natalia gave an a-cappella performance of the Swiss national anthem and her song „Our Time“ in the Hallenstadion in Zürich at the opening and final ceremony of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Women's Championship 2011, which was broadcast live in the USA and Canada, amongst other countries. The DND Acoustic Trio featuring Natalia were the opening act for the Bellamy Brothers (USA) and Acoustical Mountain: Marc Storace (Krokus), Claudio Matteo (China) and Charly Preissel.
To date Natalia has performed over 300 gigs mostly in Switzerland, England and Trinidad. Natalia has given interviews at TV and radio stations such as Joiz, NRJ Zürich and Radio Argovia and her music is played on many other stations. Recently Natalia released "Only You" at various radio stations in Trinidad. The song was produced by Rishi Mahato, award-winning Chutney Soca producer of the year 2012. She appeared in TV spots on Tele Züri and Kassensturz on SF1. From 2006 to 2008 Natalia went on tour with the professional cover band, Prime Time, and also held down a professional residency at a popular restaurant and bar in Zürich. Natalia is presently writing and recording new material in both Trinidad and England. She’s working on her debut album with the goal to establish herself not only in the UK pop market but also in mainland Europe and the Caribbean.
