Biographie

The group was born around September 2004, by the realizzation of an idea which was carried forward more than a year by Pippo, Dalf and Miglio under the name of “DECLINE”. The first formation of the group include does who had the idea in the role of guitarist, singer and in addiction of Tega the drumer, accompanyed by the lively Santo with the bass guitar and also by Guariz with another second voice. After some few months of work, the band begun to play in pubs and school assemblies. Initially the tracks where cover tracks and subsequently personal realizzations. The result was nearer to the soft-rock till it reaches a large shade of punk-rock. Initially the lyrics wrote by Pippo we easy but as time goes on they became shade structured with double senses an metaphoric games. Guariz in a second moment decised to leave the group. The group did their first album after six months of the creation of the band and it was end titled “The Sixth Month” which was recorded in a local small studio. They recorded five tracks which had the back-ground of different musics and every component takes reference to create an alteration issue in the songs. In August 2005 the “Sarcedo Rock Festival” brought the Decline back as group which were the showders of “The Hormonauts”. The day went so well that it brought good feelings to the members of the group. But problems didn’t delay to arrive when on September 2005 Miglio decided to leave the group for other alternative projects and at the same time a suitable trainning-ground was also locked for testing new beats and developping new songs. The was no hope till when a new trainning-ground was found at “Il Bruco” of Magrè where till now the group meets to create and grow. June 2006 gave a new light to the group by bringing a new member Francys, who plays the riff with the guitar in the aggressive way. After only two practices the new guy was accepted as a member of the band and they exhibited one week-end. The group decided to change the type of music and the name of the band, so then came the new “SOCIAL SURPLUS” which kept a variable style of singing but it was directed through changing of figuration compared to the sonority of the commercialized type. In all is done with an aggressive riff with the guitar but leaves a couple of moments for melodies and at times romantic. The tracks are accompanyed by ecletic drums which uses only one paddle and there are also parts of bass guitar only. In all is done by connected voice, speaked sentences and screamed sentences. In February 2007 a decision is taken by recording the “EP” at Gio Music Studio at Vicenza. The result is “THE AWAKENING OF MADNESS”, five songs with an hardcore beat, some attractive moments of sonority, dull and deep.
