Biography
Magnetic Hearts is Ritchie Perez solo project.
Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, he took part in several musical projects, including The Shamanics. He met Sylvain Ehinger and Pascal Girod. They pass on to him their passion for synthesizers.
A return to the eighties. Arcade games, sitcoms and electronic sounds.
Over the years, he surrounded himself with several names from the Swiss-Romande music scene; including Ornella Bigler, Noa Zalts and Marzia Celii.
Five years later, Ritchie Perez's album,
"Magnetic Hearts",
contains an A-side and a B-side.
The A-side features four songs in which the voices of the above-mentioned artists harmonize with the composer's musical production.
Lyrics written by four hands, on stubborn subjects.
The tone is banter, the subject matter less so: a clever figure of speech, tinged with self-mockery. The track is nonetheless catchy and apt for a night out with friends.
On the B side, it's time for pure instrumental sound.
Ritchie Perez lets himself go in his "cellar delirium", having fun, tweaking, adjusting, swinging. Lend an ear, close an eye and you'll find yourself propelled into a dark cave.
This album is aimed at fans of electro, new wave and at little girls and boys nostalgic for video game controllers and soundtracks.
